A Visit to the J. Paul Getty Museum

Yesterday I accompanied our senior class on our annual Getty field trip. I love this trip, I love my kids. I had another fantastic group this year and we had a blast. My students are so smart, so appreciative and well-rounded, so sweet and fun. I had nearly all girls again and I couldn't ask for better sports as we trekked the huge museum. Here are some highlights of the day:We had a photoshoot on the lawn which took far longer than it should have as I tried to balance the camera and figure out the self-timer on this new thing. One of their favorite things to do was mimic the poses of the more dramatic paintings...I have a feeling this is a trend that will continue when they go to Europe in May.The Gardens were beautiful; to me tulips and irises mean springtime...we had both: God's and Van Gogh's.
The Sketching Studio: my students made me proud, their drawings will go up on the wall when we get back to school. For some of them, this was the first drawing horse they've sat on.
And I can't wait to go again next year...even if it did take me 4.5 hours to get home (when I opted to drive separately as I though I could go faster than the bus...gotta love LA traffic).

Oh, well, I should be more clear...our senior go to Europe every May, I'm working on getting administration to see that I would be the best, most helpful, coolest chaperone ever! Let's keep our fingers crossed for next year, no?

I love the Getty! I used to live in Cali, I just moved to Houston 4 months ago from Pasadena. I love the drawing room, it's a lot of fun, and the garden is soooo lovely!

The Random Number generator is at http://www.random.org/integers/. For my giveaway, I am just going to click on that and choose the first number that they randomly put at the top of the list.
