Sweet, No Lemon, and Iced, Please

My friend Dionne loves herself some teacups. In fact, she loves them so much that she blogs about them! I was inspired awhile ago by the swap item I received from my partner in Dionne's Springtime Swap to paint this little teacup. Dionne told me about her collection, so I asked for some pictures of her cups to paint.

Drumroll please....
Dionne hasn't even seen these yet!
They'll be up in my Etsy shop later today.
It's getting beyond hot tea season for most of us, but I love iced tea like a kid loves a slip and slide. My favorite is sweet Mango Ceylon, but what other ideas do you have for a good old fashioned ICED TEA? Do you like it sweet or unsweet? Black or Green? Sun or Kettle brewed? Is your tea ICED TEA, or ICE TEA? Do you even like tea?

I LOVE these! So so so so pretty! I am in love with tea cups even more now!

I like fruity flowery tea. I actually first came to enjoy tea because it was pretty. There was this store in Pasadena that sold tea and art, and I would go there to look around at the paintings, but the owner called me over to taste a new tea concoction of hers. She had this glass tea pot and it had a big blossom floating on top of the tea. She told me to let her know when it was ready - that the blossom would open up, and that's when we could drink it. I was mesmerized!

What's the difference between Iced Tea and Ice Tea? I guess I wouldn't know because I'm not much of a fan ;)

OMIGOODNESS!! Those are so beautiful!! I see Dionne just bought them--how fun for her to be able to display them on her wall! So very cool!

As for tea, I like mine hot, and usually fruity. :) I currently sip Plum Harvest from Teavana--you should check out their website! My husband brought it back from me as a little souvenir while away for a business trip in Boston.

Oh, I wish there was a way I could meet all you cool people I'm 'meeting' via blogging. :)

Have a beautiful day...

I never really cared for it until a couple of years ago I had some hot peppermint tea at my in-laws for Christmas and loved it. I quickly went and bought a big box and now it sits in my pantry.. BLEH!!!! I guess it was just the holiday or something. (haha)

I do LOVE those pictures of the tea cups. They are fabulous.

How about a mint julep: "a dram of spirituous liquor that has mint steeped in it, taken by Virginians of a morning."[1]

What gorgeous paintings! and I can easily imagine how Dionne gets excited about this! Wow!
I enjoy almost every kinds of tea, fruits tea from Germany, half fermented tea from China and black tea from India and green tea of Japan---I enjoy tea with my husband in the evening. I prefer hot tea but speaking of iced tea, I love rooibos tea from South Africa. My favorite is naturally flavoured blackcurrant. Mmmmm, it's tea time!

Hi! Thank you so much for the comment. I am so glad you like my blog. I just do it for fun. Once I get a break from house stuff and school I will be making a lot more things and painting more. I am a music teacher, actually. Art is my other passion and my hobby.

I LOVE your teacups!! I haven't ventured into watercolor yet, but I plan on trying it this summer. I look forward to following your blog as well.

Hey Chickadee. I also emailed this to you, but thought I would mention it her too, since I am not sure how often you check your emails. Are you bringing Jon to the lunch, or a friend? Just wanting to finalize numbers.

I am sooooo excited to be seeing you!

You get that love of tea from Grandma and me! She would say it is from the English background! I say it's from the only other option to coffee!!! Love you....

Definitely a tea lover! Those are such cool photos, I adore them :) I have to have creamy tea... so many different kinds I love, but I almost always add a little flavored creamer to sweeten it just a tad and add a little flavor :) Yes that is weird, I am aware... I like it though!
