Rainbow

I saw these at the Farmer's Market the other day, thought they were beautiful. Don't you just love fresh produce in the summer?

I'm wondering, do you have Farmer's Markets all year where you live, or is it just in the summer? What do you usually get when you go? Do you bring your own bags; do you have a cute one?

been following your blog for a bit now. i'm an artist as well and i love your work!

i go to school in nyc and there is usually a farmer's market of some sort every weekend in union square, especially sundays. there are always people out there selling fresh produce, and for a good price! best time is the spring and summer though. i could spend all day there! i don't have a cute bag unfortunately. i just dump everything into my abnormally oversized purses. although i do have a friend who's bag i think is adorable - it is made out of an old tshirt!

ps. LOVE the picture. beautiful colors!

I just discovered a great one out here in Houston last weekend. A restauranteur here opens up her carpark for farmers to come sell their goods, and she changes her menu every day based on what they are selling that day. She only ever buys local foods sold at the market on her property. It's awesome!

I love that photograph! Great shot. Have you ever made pie with them? Yum! I used a Martha recipe, delicious :)

My husband and I just found out we have one in our city and are going tomorrow! We live in Oklahoma though, so I'm trying not to get too excited about the produce especially since our Summer weather has been averaging about 105 degrees a day - bleh!

Our farmer's market is open year round, but the good stuff really starts coming in around summer and fall... so that's usually when we go. I love to be able to buy local honey and fresh vegetables. My favorite, though, is how the kids gorge themselves on samples of fruit... that alone makes it worth the trip getting them to try new things!

Oh...I can just see you turning this into a watercolor!!!!! Please???

Oh, in Chicago our Farmer's Market season is very short lived, as you might imagine. I like to bring my own bags. The markets usually are small...but I buy produce, breads, wine... : ) It;'s a special treat in the summer.

We have a fun Farmers Market out here in Provo Utah. However I've yet to be home on a Saturday morning this summer. Is that sad or what?

I'm going to go wallow in the fact I can't go tomorrow as well and go eat some chocolate digestives with tea. Almost as good as your multi colored rhubarb.

I finally have CUTE reusable bags. I feel SO much cooler when I go to the produces stand now. Ah ha ha. I wish we had a full fledged farmer's market around us but, alas, no such luck.
